About me

(a.k.a. the pixel-crafter who runs on coffee, curiosity, and the occasional D&D campaign)

Hey! I’m Kat, a Colombian-born Senior Product Designer & almost-psychologist who believes great UX should feel like a well-directed movie: clear plot, zero filler, and an ending users applaud.

Day job: translating workflows into “I-get-it!” moments. I’ve led design for lending platforms, AI-powered bookkeeping tools, and e-commerce giants, always measuring success in fewer clicks, faster funnels, and bigger smiles.

Secret sauce: a blend of behavioral science (8th-semester psych major), data-driven experimentation, and shameless dad jokes to keep the Zoom room lively.

Proud titles: Cat mom × 3, dog wrangler × 2, rookie toddler negotiator (hi, Juan Sebastián).

Superpowers: turning chaos into Figma components, spotting accessibility gaps at fifty paces, and making stakeholders say “OH, that’s why!” during workshops.

Off-hours: Pilates reformer addict, treadmill comeback kid (herniated disc be darned), and eternal learner—catch me at AI summits or buried in a UX research course.

My Design Process

I employ a variety of design methods to drive outcomes for the user, product, and company. These methods are flexible and I choose my approach based on the context, adapting my design process to changing circumstances and different development techniques.

01

Understand

Understand the company and user needs. Market and user research. Priority

02

Ideate

User journeys and user flows, also the user personas based on previous research.

03

Design

Paper / Lo-fi prototypes, usability test, or interviews. UI Moodboards and prototypes

04

Deliver

Responsive and pixel perfect design, Demos, and QA the behavior on the features

05

Measure & Iterate

Monitor key metrics and real-world user feedback to validate impact, then refine and iterate quickly, continuously elevating the experience and the business.
